SP-79 is a high-yielding sugarcane variety with good sucrose content (10-12%). Widely cultivated in Punjab and Sindh. Average cane yield: 800-1000 maunds per acre. Tolerant to red rot and smut diseases. Excellent ratoon crop performance with good regrowth.
